Meet the author: Ani Abramashvili
A Georgian-born lawyer-turned-winemaker, intertwines her heritage with European traditions to expertly illuminate the rich tapestry of Georgian wine.
Born and raised in Georgia, Ani has always had a deep connection to the rich traditions and culture of Georgian wine. After studying law, she realized that her true passion lay not in legal practice, but in winemaking. This realization led to a bold career change, and she began pursuing a future in the world of wine.
To build a solid foundation in the craft, Ani moved to Germany three years ago and completed qualification in winemaking. This experience allowed her to immerse herself in the European winemaking tradition while staying deeply connected to her Georgian roots.
Currently, Ani is also working towards a WSET Level 3 certification, further expanding her knowledge of global wines. Despite these diverse influences, Georgian wine remains closest to her heart.
Through her articles, Ani shares her passion for Georgian wine, shedding light on its unique flavors, rich history, and centuries-old winemaking techniques.
