Château Mukhrani Goruli Mtsvane

Château Mukhrani Goruli Mtsvane is a dry white wine from Georgia’s Kartli region, made from Goruli Mtsvane – a rare indigenous white grape found almost only in Kartli – blended with a smaller share of Chinuri, another native Kartli variety. It is produced by Château Mukhrani, the historic royal estate in the Mukhrani valley founded in 1878 by Prince Ivane Mukhranbatoni, who pioneered European-style winemaking with Georgian grapes.

Goruli Mtsvane (“the green of Gori”) is prized for fresh, elegant white wines with good ageing potential. This is a crisp, fruit-led white in a classic European style, ideal for anyone who enjoys Sauvignon Blanc, Albariño or unoaked Chardonnay and wants to try something new from Georgia.

Tasting notes

Bright straw yellow with green hints. The nose is fresh and elegant, with pear, yellow plum and white cherry woven through delicate floral notes. The palate is smooth and well balanced, with white and yellow orchard fruit, floral lift and a fresh, long, mineral finish.

Food pairing and serving

Serve chilled at 10–12°C. Excellent with grilled fish, seafood, chicken, salads, goat’s cheese and Georgian dishes such as pkhali or chicken in walnut sauce (satsivi).
